Pros: • Super lightweight • Huge storage basket • Smooth suspension • Improved sun protection
Cons: • No cup holder or snack tray • Foot brake can be an annoyance

Mom’s are already super excited about the newest UPPAbaby Cruz stroller, and I am one of them. I was excited to see how this update would compare to the previous Cruz strollers we’ve seen and although the changes are modest they do make a difference. We share all the details in our Cruz stroller review below.

The stroller is still made up the same. It includes the toddler seat and a large canopy, which has a peek-a-boo window as well as a rain and bug shield.

One of the advantages you’ll learn in the UPPAbaby Cruz review is the ability to attach the MESA car seat without having to purchase an additional adapter. This definitely saves on cost and adds convenience.

The seat has great recline at 180 degrees however despite this it is not able to be used by newborns and it’s only suitable for use from around 3 months old until your child reaches 50 lbs.

More upgrades, the stroller now has a UPF 50+ sunshade material which not only adds an additional layer of protection for your baby but it also doesn’t crease as easily as previous models. The UPPAbaby cruz wheels have not increased in size from previous models but the tread design has changed. Other changes include several new colors and leather accent on some models, with this particular review on the UPPAbaby Cruz Jake.

As I said the changes have been modest but they’ve been a welcomed facelift on one of my favorite strollers. It’s also super easy to put together and load so if you’re worried about this, don’t be. The basket underneath offers loads of storage and stroller is simply a pleasure to use. You can read more information on the cruz baby stroller below.

Pros

The UPPAbaby 2017 Cruz is popular for loads of reasons, but one that most parents seem to agree on is just how durable it is for such a lightweight stroller. The UPPAbaby Cruz weight is about 30lbs but it feels much lighter. It makes it super easy to navigate in a crowd and even push it by one hand. Folding it and placing it into your trunk is simple and doesn’t put unnecessary strain on your back.

If you’re looking for easy integration with a car seat then the MESA car seat is what you’ll need. What makes it such a great option with this stroller is that you don’t need to purchase any additional attachments. You can simply put the car seat straight onto the stroller right out of the car, a massive bonus for parents in UPPAbaby cruz stroller reviews that need a no fuss option!

The added sun protection is also great. It has worked to make the stroller even more neat and presentable as the material is super soft and doesn’t crease as easily as previous strollers. You can take a look at the stroller in the video below:

Cons

No stroller is perfect and although the UPPAbaby 2017 Cruz does come close, it’s not there yet. I would have loved to see a cup holder and snack tray included at this price point.

Also, our UPPAbaby cruz 2017 review found that the position of the foot brake can be somewhat of an annoyance. This is a bit of a personal preference but I am much more accustomed to hand brakes now.

Summary – 4.5/5

There’s a reason why Mom’s love this stroller. It’s simple to set up and and it just works. The stroller feels significantly easier to push than other strollers in the same category and although it’s lightweight it doesn’t feel any less strong.

Although it is missing some features that would be expected at this price point, it makes up for it by being super easy to use, super lightweight and one of the most comfortable strollers to push in a crowd.
